    About Us

    Dr. Afsar Sokhansanj

    Dr. Afsar Sokhansanj completed her undergraduate and graduate work at Michigan State University, receiving her master’s degree in Biological Sciences in April, 1993. She worked as a research associate in the department of Pathology at the University of Wisconsin and also in the department of Oral Biology at the University of Missouri in Kansas City.
    Dr. Sokhansanj moved with her family to Dallas, Texas in August, 1996, remaining at home to raise her three sons until returning to school to study chiropractic at the Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas.
    She obtained her doctorate degree in Chiropractic in August, 2002. Dr. Sokhansanj also teaches Anatomy and Physiology at Brookhaven Community College. In addition, Dr. Sokhansanj has presented scientific research studies at many national and international meetings.

    Dr. Farshid Marzban

    Dr. Farshid Marzban completed his undergraduate and graduate work at Michigan State University, receiving his doctorate degree in Anatomy-Neuroscience in December, 1992. He then completed two post-doctoral research programs at the University of Wisconsin Madison Primate center and the University of Kansas Medical center.
    In August of 1996, he accepted an associate professor position teaching neuroscience at the Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. During the first trimester of his teaching, he developed a great interest in the philosophy, art, and science of chiropractic, especially after a chiropractor friend was able to cure his recurring migraine headaches after a few sessions of chiropractic care. Hence, he began his chiropractic education in September, 2000 and received his Doctorate in Chiropractic in September, 2002
    Dr. Marzban had taught Clinical Neurology/ Neuroscience to chiropractic students for over 2 decades. In addition, Dr, Marzban has presented scientific research studies at many national, international meetings.

    Dr. Farzad Marzban

    Dr. Farzad Marzban was raised in Carrollton, TX where he graduated from Creekview High School in 2004. From there, he graduated with a business degree with a minor in speech in 2008 from Austin College, Sherman, TX; where he took most of his premedical courses. Moving back to Dallas, he began working in the emergency room as a physician’s scribe gaining priceless experience while concurrently continuing studies at University of Texas at Dallas where he graduated from in 2010 with a bachelors in Biology. He then went to Parker University and a recent 2014 graduate.
    Dr. Marzban has been involved in a variety of activities and experiences that have facilitated a well-rounded background and ability to make strong connections with anyone he encounters. He treats everyone like family which serves as the driving force in providing the utmost quality of health care. He has been a domestic abuse mentor, wrestler, violin player, and research assistant studying metallic nano-particles used for delivering medicine to specific cancerous cells. He has donated his time to Salvation Army, Key Club, class representation, and was a tutor for multiple science courses. He has backpacked across Europe, been involved in the the start-up of a business that is now very successful, did a private study on heuristics of consumer economics, and a sandwich artist at Subway!
    Dr. Marzban is currently working towards his specialty in Functional Neurology from the Carrick Institute. He has completed post-graduate courses in Functional Medicine, Functional Nutrition, Nutrition Counseling, Applied Kinesiology, and Functional Neurology. His vast educational background and his dedication to provide each patient of all available treatment options and allow for the patient to always make informed, comfortable decisions. He utilizes strong relationships with other practitioners, including M.D, D.O, N.D, and Acupuncturist. All available options, in-house or within his medical network, always offered and explained. Through a multidisciplinary approach, Dr. Marzban is able to treat/co-manage a vast array of health concerns expeditiously and judiciously.

    More Than a Chiropractor

    “In truth, I had one previous experience with a chiropractor that left me with no confidence in chiropractors. Then I had a prostatectomy followed by radiation therapy. This left me overweight, exhausted, in pain, with high blood pressure and depressed. Fortunately, I found the Drs. Marzban, who take a holistic approach to health. Not only did they repair my spine, and an injury in my neck that was 35 years old, under their integrated method of using chiropractic, acupuncture and organ cleanses, I feel 25 years younger. I walk straight again, my blood pressure is normal, and I have lost 16 pounds all in 2 months. Soon I will be back to running 2 miles a day as I used to do.     “I arrived in Dallas three weeks after a back surgery in Costa Rica, in transition to my home in Kodiak, Alaska. After affects of the surgery required me to take physical therapy and I was having pain at night. I discovered Marzban chiropractic by chance and was very happy to get in right away. They offer very convenient evening and weekend treatments. Dr Marzban listened to me and worked with me to develop a treatment plan for my pain that mainly included electrical stimulation and acupuncture.     “Dr. Marzban is an excellent chiropractor. I have been to chiropractors for as long as I can remember, and not one of them even come close to the care I receive from him. He and his wife work together and they take their time to listen and then treat me for whatever is wrong. I always feel better when I leave. When I first went to him I was very frustrated. I had been going to another chiropractor for months and had not gotten any relief. I really thought that I would have to learn to live with pain. My son had met Dr. Marzban and had been telling me that I should try him. I am so so glad that I did because I no longer have the pain that I had been experiencing. I would have loved to have visited with you. I decided to e-mail you instead of calling you back because you are such a busy man, and I didn’t want to catch you at an inopportune time like holding a class, seeing a patient, or anything like that. I am doing very well with the arm you took care of. Ever so often, I thank God for our paths crossing. I was so afraid at the time that I was going to have a difficult time finding someone who could actually take care/fix my shoulder problem.     “Dear Dr. Marzban: I am sending you this e-mail to thank you for your comprehensive treatment and concern for the chronic pain I found myself in when I arrived in Texas for a visit with my daughter. I have been suffering with neck pain for the past eight or nine years as a result of a severe neck injury and neck surgery to remove a disc in my neck. Upon my arrival in Texas , I found myself in excruciating neck and back pain and the pain was so severe that I could not sit, stand, lay or move without feeling extreme pain. You were recommended to me by a family member and I was able to schedule an appointment with you right away. The treatment I received included several adjustments to my neck and back, acupuncture, deep tissue massage, and electric stimulation treatments. These procedures were done within a two-day period and by the end of the two days of treatment, I was virtually pain-free! I was charged a flat fee for all these treatments at a very reasonable cost. Your concern for my health did not stop with performing these treatments. You called me several times to find out how I was feeling and referred me to an ex-ray technician to have ex-rays taken of my neck. Because you are a neurologist as well as a chiropractor, you were able to diagnose my condition and give me suggestions about how to have follow up care in Florida.     “I had suffered with severe migraines for years and chose to continue suffering with them along with taking tablets whenever needed. A good friend of mine suggested i meet with Dr. Marzban, initially for a chat and of course to hear any suggestions that he may have for me. I was overwhelmed by he and his wife’s hospitality, knowledge and kindness towards me. He treated me there and then and i continued seeing him on a weekly basis for the duration of my time in Dallas. My migraines did eventually improve and i always felt extremely relaxed and content after each treatment. I also had acupuncture treatments which were new for me, but Dr. Marzban made me feel so secure during my treatments (even when i was pregnant!) that i knew there was really no need to be nervous at all! He and his wife are remarkable individuals and i feel very sad that due to my moving from the city, i am unable to continue with my treatments, along with the fun weekly gossip and chats!     “Dr. Farshid and Dr. S are the best chiropractors I have ever visited. They are very thorough with your treatment and really take there time to make sure you are well taken care of. They both listen to your concerns and focus their treatment around what is ailing your body. They are both very caring doctors which is very hard to find. Usually chiropractors just give you an adjustment and send you on your way. I would recommend you give them a try, I guarantee you will not be disappointed.”
