About Us
Dr. Afsar Sokhansanj completed her undergraduate and graduate work at Michigan State University, receiving her master’s degree in Biological Sciences in April, 1993. She worked as a research associate in the department of Pathology at the University of Wisconsin and also in the department of Oral Biology at the University of Missouri in Kansas City.
Dr. Sokhansanj moved with her family to Dallas, Texas in August, 1996, remaining at home to raise her three sons until returning to school to study chiropractic at the Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas.
She obtained her doctorate degree in Chiropractic in August, 2002. Dr. Sokhansanj also teaches Anatomy and Physiology at Brookhaven Community College. In addition, Dr. Sokhansanj has presented scientific research studies at many national and international meetings.

Dr. Farshid Marzban completed his undergraduate and graduate work at Michigan State University, receiving his doctorate degree in Anatomy-Neuroscience in December, 1992. He then completed two post-doctoral research programs at the University of Wisconsin Madison Primate center and the University of Kansas Medical center.
In August of 1996, he accepted an associate professor position teaching neuroscience at the Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. During the first trimester of his teaching, he developed a great interest in the philosophy, art, and science of chiropractic, especially after a chiropractor friend was able to cure his recurring migraine headaches after a few sessions of chiropractic care. Hence, he began his chiropractic education in September, 2000 and received his Doctorate in Chiropractic in September, 2002.
Dr. Marzban had taught Clinical Neurology/ Neuroscience to chiropractic students for over 2 decades. In addition, Dr, Marzban has presented scientific research studies at many national, international meetings.
Dr. Farshid Marzban
Dr. Farzad Marzban was raised in Carrollton, TX where he graduated from Creekview High School in 2004. From there, he graduated with a business degree with a minor in speech in 2008 from Austin College, Sherman, TX; where he took most of his premedical courses. Moving back to Dallas, he began working in the emergency room as a physician’s scribe gaining priceless experience while concurrently continuing studies at University of Texas at Dallas where he graduated from in 2010 with a bachelors in Biology. He then went to Parker University and a recent 2014 graduate.
Dr. Marzban has been involved in a variety of activities and experiences that have facilitated a well-rounded background and ability to make strong connections with anyone he encounters. He treats everyone like family which serves as the driving force in providing the utmost quality of health care. He has been a domestic abuse mentor, wrestler, violin player, and research assistant studying metallic nano-particles used for delivering medicine to specific cancerous cells. He has donated his time to Salvation Army, Key Club, class representation, and was a tutor for multiple science courses. He has backpacked across Europe, been involved in the the start-up of a business that is now very successful, did a private study on heuristics of consumer economics, and a sandwich artist at Subway!
Dr. Marzban is currently working towards his specialty in Functional Neurology from the Carrick Institute. He has completed post-graduate courses in Functional Medicine, Functional Nutrition, Nutrition Counseling, Applied Kinesiology, and Functional Neurology. His vast educational background and his dedication to provide each patient of all available treatment options and allow for the patient to always make informed, comfortable decisions. He utilizes strong relationships with other practitioners, including M.D, D.O, N.D, and Acupuncturist. All available options, in-house or within his medical network, always offered and explained. Through a multidisciplinary approach, Dr. Marzban is able to treat/co-manage a vast array of health concerns expeditiously and judiciously.

Financial
We will be more than happy to submit all insurance forms for you and help you recover the most from your benefits. We will do everything we can to help you afford the treatment you need and want. Forms of payment accepted by the office are check, cash, or credit card.
Cancellation
If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 24 hours notice. We ask for this advance notice so that we can offer this appointment to another patient. A fee may be charged if a patient does not show up for an appointment without sufficient notice.
